Chris Klomp, MBA

Chris Klomp serves as the Director of the Center for Medicare and Deputy Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and was recently appointed as Chief Counselor of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where he oversees all day-to-day operations.

Chris has driven healthcare reform at state and federal levels, focusing on value-based care and interoperability. He built Salt Lake City-based Collective Medical, the largest real-time interoperability and care collaboration platform in the country, has co-founded, advised, and served on the board of many innovative startups and on the Utah Senate-confirmed Digital Health Services Commission, and worked at Bain Capital and Bain & Company. Chris holds a B.A. with honors in Economics and English from BYU and an MBA from Stanford from which he graduated an Arjay Miller Scholar.

He lives in Washington, DC and Park City, UT with his wife and four children.
